In our first ROIK PEOPLE post, we have accompanied Paco, a Vueling pilot with more than six years of experience. We spent a morning with him to find out what his daily life is like. Paco always carries a carry-on suitcase and his Messenger , ideal for the things he needs to have close at hand.

Hi, I'm Paco, I'm 28 years old and I've been a commercial pilot for over six years.
What might a day at work be like?
My day starts early, and I can visit 3 or 4 cities in one day. Sometimes we return to the base, but other times we spend the night in cities like Paris or Rome. I always carry a carry-on suitcase and a men's shoulder bag , where I keep what I need to have at hand.
Tip for when you are away for many hours:
Since the days can be long, I always carry a book, a toiletry bag and a change of clothes. My essentials are stored in my Messenger : my wallet, phone, keys, passport, iPad, toiletry bag, a bottle of water and a charger. And there's still room for much more,
The worst and the best thing about your job?
The hardest part is the schedule, being away from my family and friends, especially on important dates. But I have always loved travelling and flying planes, I wouldn't change it for anything.
Future plans:
I would like to continue to climb the career ladder. I am currently a first officer, and my goal is to become a commander.
